Become Catholic (RCIA)
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process for those who desire to become Catholic.
This communal process is for:
- Adults who have never been baptized
- Adults baptized in a non-Catholic church but now desire to become Catholic
- Adults who were baptized Catholic but who have not received the Sacraments of Holy Communion or Confirmation.
Classes begin on Wednesday, September 21 at 7:00 pm for Candidates and Sponsors. Classes will be held in the St. Francis Room at our Crane Road campus at 6N491 Crane Road, St. Charles, IL 60175. We have a great team of teachers who will be presenting on the teachings of the Catholic Church. Participants will enter fully into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil which will be celebrated on Holy Saturday evening on April 15, 2017.
Each participant will have a sponsor who will support them their faith journey. The sponsor needs to be a fully initiated practicing Catholic. If a candidate does not have someone to ask, we have parishioners who would be honored to serve as a sponsor.
For more information on the RCIA program, please contact Pam Purcell at 630-365-2289 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’d be happy to walk with you on your faith journey!
