Men’s On-Line Bible study of Luke and Mark
if we are able to meet (because some gatherings are not able due to the pandemic) we will begin on Thursday, from 7 P.M. to 9, September 3, 2020 through April 2021.
Come see what the church says about itself through the bible, Doctors and Fathers of the church, papal comments and writings, English translation from the Greek original texts, and the archeological digs that verify the Catholic Faith. Our goal is to be able to answer questions from members of other Christian Churches, family members, friends and acquaintances. We do not read just Luke and Mark, we see what the other writers have said about the same topics, looking at typing (what in the OT points to Jesus), foreshadowing, and significance of words when understood from the time they were written, translations that don’t seem to make sense in the modern world but did in the old, and how translation from one language and time, can seem to confuse modern times.. The greatest revelation is that through all of this we come away understanding that the Catholic Church has it right.
