The Allelu! Program from Our Sunday Visitor teaches young children about the Catholic Faith and introduces them to the sacraments, liturgical rituals, symbols, and seasons. It also introduces moral standards and values, and provides the child with the tools and words to talk with God and about God.

Tuesdays 5 – 6:15 PM
Wednesdays 4:45 – 6 PM

In-person religious education programs begin October 17th and continue through April 27th, 2022.

The Alive in Christ! program from Our Sunday Visitor teaches central truths of the Catholic Faith. Service opportunities are also incorporated into the program. Sacramental preparation is given for 1st and 2nd-grade students who are required to attend religious education classes in order to receive the sacraments in 2nd grade.

Sometimes the best option is to teach your child at home. Parents with children in grades 3 – 5 may opt to teach their children at home. The $150 yearly fee per child includes an Alive in Christ! textbook, parent home session plans, and online tests. Students are invited to attend special activities as confession, retreats, service opportunities and prayer services.

Children who are beyond 2nd grade and have not received the sacraments of reconciliation or Eucharist have an opportunity to receive those sacraments by completing the Special Sacraments Program.

In April and May, a child and parent attend 6 additional sacramental preparation classes. Classes are held on Sundays in Dempsey Hall at St. Pat’s Crane Road and are followed by Mass. Attendance at Sunday Mass is required. After completing the 6 classes, the student receives the sacrament of reconciliation. After receiving reconciliation, First Holy Communion is received on a Sunday in May. The date for First Holy Communion has yet to be determined.

There will be a parent/child meeting on November 14, 2021, at 10:30 AM.

There is no additional fee for this program.
