Baptism is the sacrament of new life. We become a child of God through this sacrament and enter into God’s family, the Church. If you desire to have a child baptized, please give us a call in the parish office at 630-338-8000, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
If it is your first child to be baptized we do ask you to participate in a baptism preparation class and to meet with one of our parish priests. The class will help you to understand the meaning of baptism and to renew your own faith. Meeting with one of the priests will help you feel more connected to parish. They’ll also share with you their perspective on baptism and the wonderful blessings your child will receive.
While most children are baptized as infants, it is also possible to have your child baptized if he or she is older. It’s never too late to receive the sacraments! If you are an adult and have never been baptized, we have a special program for you. The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults(RCIA) prepares those who need all the sacraments. May God bless you and all who receive the sacrament of new life!
