We know that during this time there are a lot of questions out there. Below you will find our best attempt to share the information that we have at this moment. As new information becomes available we’ll be sure to update the FAQ below.
Q. How can I get the most current parish updates & information?
A. We will keep everyone informed weekly on Thursdays as our parish plan comes together, so please sign up for Flocknote here: https://stpatsil.flocknote.com/ to assure you have the latest news.
Q. Can a priest still come to see someone who is sick or dying at the hospital or at home?
A. Absolutely, in case of an emergency or urgent pastoral need, please call the church office, 630-338-8000, and one of our priests will respond to your call ASAP.
Q. Do I need to sign up for Mass to attend?
A. YES. We are using “SignUpGenius online sign up.” Click Here to have the opportunity to sign up starting on Thursday afternoon. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0c4aafa72fa3f85-weekly
We will have 100 spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis, per Downtown Mass and 300 spaces available per Crane Road Mass in the online sign up. For those who are unable to access the site, you may call Mike Zak at 630-215-5577 to sign up for a Mass. The capacity is subject to change as we move forward. Due to the limited seating per Mass, we ask that you only sign up once during each weekend and note the number of adults and children from your household are going to attend. You will need to sign up for weekday Masses as well, but you can sign up for as many you would like. Please read & follow the guidelines.
We continue with the hope that more people are able to sign up and attend Mass if they choose to do so, while still preserving social distance and continuing to observe all requirements for sanitizing the facilities. This will allow our families to return to worship in a safe manner.
Q. Can I attend Mass Virtually if I am ill, not comfortable in the building or have a compromised immunity?
A. YES!. We are live streaming Mass daily at 8:00 a.m., Monday through Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 a.m. (with Music) from our homepage, Facebook or YouTube page (updated 6/11/20)
Q. How Can I Sign Up to Volunteer before a Mass?
A. Click Here for VOLUNTEER form online using SignUpGenius. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0c4aafa72fa3f85-reopen. We will have several helper spaces available for either Crane Road or Downtown Masses in the online sign up link available by Thursday afternoon. For those who are unable to access the site, you may email your contact information to Mike Zak at firstname.lastname@example.org
Q. What happens to the specific daily mass intentions?
A. During this unusual time, the priests want you to know that all of the regularly scheduled Mass intentions are still being taken care of. Since we have three priests at the parish, each of them will be able to cover the Mass intentions each day and on the weekends as scheduled, by church location. Fr. Cristancho will be covering the intentions for the Spanish Masses. You can call the parish office to learn the new time when your mass will be covered at 630-338-8000.
